DC Council Testimony - Jaz Jackson

On Wednesday, May, 6, 2026, Jaz Jackson, Director of Victim and Reentry Services, presented testimony for the Office of Victim Services and Justice Grants Budget Oversight Hearing at the Council of the District of Columbia. Kudos, Jaz, on advocating for increased resources for our clients and their families!

"CFLS recognizes that reentry and domestic violence often intersect and are shaped by overlapping systems of harm. We are uniquely positioned to address the needs of our clients through trauma-informed services funded by OVSJG."

"CFLS has supported the DC community for the past 57 years. This support is the difference between incarcerated women successfully integrating back into society, regaining stability after a period of homelessness, or securing safety after fleeing domestic violence."

Life Skills Group - Breakfast Activity

On Tuesday, May 5, 2026, we hosted Life Skills Breakfast for some of our South Dakota and Emergency House clients focused on a clean kitchen and a strong mind. We support our residents with life skills that promote health and safety, supports mental well-being and builds independence.
