Financial Literacy Series

Up next in our Financial Literacy series is "Saving & Financial Psychology." CFLS and Legacy Financial Consulting will present a webinar focused on how your beliefs about money, emotions, and other factors influence your financial behaviors and spending on February 26, 2025 at 6pm.

Next month on March 12, 2025 at 6pm, our "Introduction to Investing" session will walk you through the first steps in learning how to use your money to potentially make more money by taking calculated risks in the market.

We are thrilled to share that CFLS Executive Director, Shena McFadden-Brimage, MCS, had the opportunity to speak with the World Bank Group's Education and Evaluation Department. Dress for Success

On Monday, December 16, 2024, we provided clients with the opportunity to select professional attire for upcoming interviews. They also received a list of interview best practices. Our goal was to empower clients with the confidence and resources they need to succeed in their job search and beyond.

Community Information Kiosks

What is the Kiosk?
The Kiosk is like a computer, but it is designed specifically for people to create an account and access social services. You can request information about housing, employment, food, clothing, legal help, and more. You can also scan documents, access websites like the Social Security website or the Department of Health, and take Zoom calls.

How do I use the Kiosk?
The most important step is to create a profile. You can do this by following these steps:
1. Press the button “Create an Account”
2. Fill out all the required information. Make sure to include a phone number and email.
3. Write down or take a picture of your username and password. Remember your security
questions.
a. You will use this username and password every time you use the kiosk. You need both
to be able to access our services.

Once you have created your profile, you will be directed to a page with different buttons that contain
links to different resources.

Trinity Arms Transitional Housing Program

Trinity Arms Transitional Housing

Trinity Arms provides transitional apartment-style housing to reentry women and survivors of domestic violence. Trinity residents have access to an array of supportive services and are paired with a case manager who provides intensive case management.

Eligibility Criteria: Identify as a woman, DC resident, survivor of interpersonal violence or incarceration, and must have children or be in the process of reunifying with children.
